PURIFYING INDOOR AIR

During the winter months, people usually spend more time indoors.  The air inside homes often contains particles of different common allergens: dust mites, pet dander, and wood or cigarette smoke.  Although many of the larger particles are removed by hairs in the nose or trapped in mucus in the airways, smaller particles are still inhaled directly into the lungs.  People who are sensitive to these allergens develop allergic responses that may need to be controlled by  medications.  The use of a portable electric air purifier can improve the air quality in a room by trapping particles in its filter.  For best results, the filter should be cleaned or replaced at regular intervals throughout the winter months.

P.S.  Try moving a portable air purifier into your bedroom at night. Reducing allergens in the bedroom can improve sleep quality.
