Dr. Asha Gupta

Dr. Gupta has been dedicated to the care of patients of all ages with allergy and immunology related problems for the last 40 years. 25 of these years have been spent in the Southern Tier. She retired in August of 2022 but found it difficult to stay away from her patients and is returning to our practice on a part time basis.

Dr. Gupta finished her training in Allergy and Immunology at the Albert Einstein Medical College in New York City where she described the first cases of AIDS in children. After her training she joined New York Medical College where she rose to the rank of Associate Professor and Chief of Allergy and Immunology in the department of pediatrics. During her stay there she authored several scientific papers and organized teaching conferences. She moved to Johnson City in 1998 where in addition to private practice, she continued to teach residents and medical students from Upstate Medical University.

She is board certified in pediatrics as well as in allergy and immunology.

She is a Fellow of both American Academy as well as American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. She is past president of Broome County Medical Society.

Upon her recent retirement, the Upstate Medical University honored her with the title of Professor Emeritus.
