LIVING WITH HAY FEVER
Hay fever is the common term for seasonal and perennial allergies. Although many people try to live without treating hay fever, treatment can help ease symptoms. Hay fever symptoms mostly affect the nose, eyes, skin, and roof of the mouth. There are proactive steps that can be taken to ease any symptoms, such as staying indoors during peak pollen activity, wearing glasses to keep pollen out of the eyes, or wearing a mask when working outdoors. It is best for those with hay fever to seek an allergist’s help if symptoms are interfering with their quality of life, the hay fever does not go away, or they have other problems such as chronic sinus infections and asthma.
P.S. People are more likely to have hay fever if they have family members with allergies.
