IT’S EVERYWHERE
If the products you use in everyday living are causing a reaction, you may be allergic to plastic. Although most allergies to plastic manifest themselves on the skin, that is not true of all of them. Commonly used items can trigger a reaction, and reactions can range from minor to extreme. Credit cards, toothbrushes, plastic bags, and water bottles are just a few of the thousands of items that may cause reactions in someone with a plastic allergy. Since plastic items are so much a part of what we use or come in contact with every day, it is imperative to be tested for any suspected plastic allergy. Testing can be done with a skin-prick test or a blood sample.
P.S. Allergic reactions to plastic typically include skin redness, itching, swelling, and a rash.
