HANGOVER, ALLERGY OR INTOLERANCE?
At one time or another in their lives, most adults have had a little too much to drink and ended up with an unpleasant hangover. But is it a hangover, an allergic reaction to alcohol, or an intolerance to alcohol? Figuring out this question may save an individual a lot of discomfort. Nausea, breathing problems, and breaking out in hives are all signs of an alcohol allergy. An intolerance, which is more probable than an allergy, is more likely to affect the digestive tract and result in vomiting, gas, and diarrhea. Actual alcohol allergy symptoms include inflammation in the mouth or throat, cramping, congestion, headache, vomiting, heartburn, low blood pressure, and shortness of breath.
P.S. Symptoms of an alcohol allergy will appear after consuming even a small amount of alcohol, while an alcohol intolerance can take a bit more, and a hangover can take a lot more.
