CONQUERING MOLD ALLERGIES

Mold allergies are frequently confused with other, more common allergies, colds, or sinus infections because the symptoms of sneezing, coughing, itchy eyes, congestion, and post nasal drip are the same. However, if your allergies seem to be worse when it rains, you may be dealing with a mold allergy. Mold is a fungus that grows in damp areas and is constantly releasing spores into the air, which can then be inhaled to trigger allergic reactions. Finding the source of the mold is the quickest way to relieve symptoms. Start by checking the basement for leaks in the foundation or in the plumbing, look for water spots on walls and ceilings, and check under the carpets.

P.S. Mold allergies may be very annoying but they are not deadly. In truth, the amount of mold spores a person would have to inhale to cause a near fatal reaction would be enormous.
