CAT ALLERGY
It can be difficult to admit that the furry feline you love is causing health issues. However, if you’re suffering from a runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, and wheezing shortly after petting or playing with a cat, you likely have a cat allergy. A body’s immune system begins to make antibodies when it mistakes an allergen for something harmful. Allergens can come from a cat’s dander, fur, saliva, and even their urine. Cat allergens can be carried on clothes, settle on furniture and bedding, and circulate in the air. For this reason, you do not necessarily have to own a cat to be exposed to the allergen. Genetics also appear to have a role in the development of allergies.
P.S. Allergies to cats are one of the most common allergies among individuals.
