ASTHMA…WHAT IS IT?
The inflammation and narrowing of the airways that carry air to the lungs can be caused by a chronic condition called asthma. These reactions can occur when particular substances in the environment are inhaled. Substances or conditions that cause these reactions are called triggers. The resulting issues are known as flare-ups or asthma attacks. Those who experience asthma attacks may experience wheezing, chest tightness, coughing, and breathing problems. Asthma may be a result of environmental or genetic factors. A wide host of triggers may cause asthma attacks, including mold, air pollution, tobacco smoke, pollen, and dust mites. Unfortunately, there is no cure for asthma yet, although asthma symptoms can be controlled with an individualized treatment plan.
P.S. Controlling asthma may be accomplished by using both long-term and quick-relief medications.
