ASTHMA SYMPTOMS
Asthma is a condition in which a person’s airways narrow and swell and may produce extra mucus, making breathing difficult. For some people, asthma is a minor nuisance. For others, it can be a significant problem that interferes with daily activities and can possibly lead to a life-threatening asthma attack. Although asthma cannot be cured, the symptoms can be controlled. Symptoms of asthma vary from person to person but may include shortness of breath, chest tightness or pain, wheezing when exhaling, trouble sleeping (due to the above-mentioned symptoms), and coughing or wheezing attacks worsened by a respiratory virus. If you think you have asthma, it is important to see an allergist as soon as possible for testing and a treatment plan.
P.S. Asthma symptoms can change over time, making it essential to work with an allergist to track signs and symptoms and adjust treatment as needed.
