Children’s Rescue Inhaler Study
This study is researching how well Fluticasone Propionate and Albuterol Sulfate work together as a rescue inhaler in children and adults with asthma. Adding an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) such as Fluticasone Propionate into rescue inhalers helps to relieve asthma symptoms and prevent flare-ups. Albuterol is a bronchodilator, which works to open the airway to help you breathe better. Fluticasone Propionate and Albuterol are FDA approved medications for ages 4 and older to control asthma symptoms.
You may qualify if you are:
- 12 years of age and older
- Use a daily inhaler
- Have needed to use a rescue inhaler
- Have had a serious asthma exacerbation within 1 year
Those who qualify may receive:
- Reimbursement for travel
- Study-related care from local doctors and specialists
- No-cost study medication
