ASTHMA DIET?

These days, there seem to be fad diets to cure most ailments. Unfortunately, there is not a specific diet that will completely eliminate asthma symptoms.  Researchers have found evidence that the vitamins, antioxidants, and nutrients contained in fresh fruits and vegetables may help reduce chronic airway swelling and/or inflammation from cell-damaging free radicals.  Incorporating these healthy foods into meal plans while continuing to take prescribed asthma medications might make managing asthma symptoms easier.  Kale, broccoli, oranges, and tomatoes are rich in vitamin C.   Almonds, spinach, and sweet potatoes contain vitamin E.  Dairy products provide vitamin D, while beneficial omega-3 fatty acids are found in nuts, canola oil, and flaxseed oil.  Try eating better to feel better.

P.S.   It is important to continue to be vigilant in avoiding any foods that are known to trigger personal allergic responses.
