CONSIDER YOUR ASTHMA WHEN RELOCATING
There are many aspects to consider when moving, and if you have asthma, especially if it is difficult to control, there may be one more. Climate and air quality are considerable factors in controlling asthma symptoms. Areas with high pollen counts and other allergens in the air should be avoided when possible, as should places lacking strict anti-smoking laws for public places. Many cities are surprisingly healthy places for people with asthma as they do tend to have regulations about smoking in public, lower pollen rates than more rural areas, and better access to asthma specialists to help with treatment. Some US cities like San Francisco, Seattle, and San Jose have made great strides toward better air quality.
P.S. While asthma can usually be controlled with treatment, people who live in areas deemed dangerous for asthmatics need to be more aware and diligent in their care routines.
