ALLERGY BOOST
As hay fever season approaches and the air is filled with various grass pollens, allergy symptoms are often more difficult to control. Increased pollen counts can sometimes make regular allergy medications seem ineffective. The pills and sprays are still effective, but the immune system is working overtime so symptoms are not always completely controlled. There are some natural remedies that can be used in addition to regular allergy medications to help diminish sneezing and nasal congestion. Daily nasal washings and saline nasal sprays will help keep nasal passages hydrated and clear of excess mucus. Neti pots for washing and non-medicated saline sprays are available over-the-counter. Be sure to follow the directions carefully.
P.S. Add some fresh or dried oregano to boiling water, and then gently inhale the steam to open nasal passages. Be careful not to burn sensitive tissues.
