SICK OF CLEANING?

When shopping, take notice of the labels in the cleaning products aisles. Many supposedly “improved” products tout their newly achieved cleaning power. However, there are risks associated with many of these products containing chemicals that actually can cause more harm than good. Some of these chemicals have been linked to asthma, a growing chronic health issue. They are asthma triggers and worsen existing respiratory symptoms. Since there are no legal requirements in place for ingredient labeling on household cleaning products, it is difficult to determine which ones to avoid. For those who face the challenges of asthma, try to select products that are “green,” or make your own cleaning products using basic ingredients such as baking soda and vinegar.

P.S. Never combine household cleansers since toxic interactions can occur.
