COMMON HEALTH PROBLEMS

Allergies and asthma are two of the most common health problems.  They can affect people for the first time at any age.  Mild allergy symptoms like runny nose, cough, and nasal congestion might be treatable with over-the-counter products.  Minor symptoms of asthma like wheezing and shortness of breath, however, should be evaluated promptly by a medical professional.  Allergists can identify factors that trigger allergic reactions and asthma attacks and prescribe appropriate treatment protocols.  Although heredity can be a factor, it is thought that hormones, stress, and environmental irritants also play a role in the development of these conditions.  It is important to note that people of any age, gender, or race can be affected by allergies and/or asthma.

P.S.  Asthma or allergies can result in anaphylaxis, a rare but potentially life-threatening reaction that affects many parts of the body simultaneously.  Immediate  emergency care is essential.
